Deny self / follow Jesus...

Father, your creation declares your greatness and lovingkindness, encouraging statements of pure truth in our daily walk... There's a clear differentiation that I need to address in my life, for too many times I have said what I'm going to do or not do in order to be a better servant in the kingdom. But every time ME is the focal point of my life, even if I have a good intentions, I fail more often than I'd ever like to admit. Satan is just waiting for me to see what I think I AM capable of doing in order to use that against me in my weaker moments. Jesus said, "If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me. For whoever would save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will save it. For what does it profit a man if he gains the whole world and loses or forfeits himself?" (Luke 9:23-25) It's not about me, never has been, never will be, I need to turn EVERYTHING over to Jesus both now and forevermore… Thank you, Jesus, for showing us that you are the way, the truth, and the life; THE answer for those committed to seeking the truth in all things!
