Crossing that fine line...
Father, your creation declares your greatness and lovingkindness, encouraging statements of pure truth in our daily walk... Life is full of "fine lines" being crossed that need to be acknowledged and then addressed. So, when people cross that line with bad intentions and motivations, we can choose to do one of two things; either we can ignore it and let them keep doing the bad they seem more than willing to do, or we can counter their evil actions with good, and in doing so, highlighting the bad that needs to be corrected. No doubt, your word teaches a right and a wrong way to proceed. The Christians in Rome were encouraged by Paul, as are we, to "Repay no one evil for evil, but give thought to do what is honorable in the sight of all. If possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all. Beloved, never avenge yourselves, but leave it to the wrath of God, for it is written, “Vengeance is mine, I will repay, says the Lord.” To the contrary, “if your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink; for by so doing you will heap burning coals on his head.” Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good." (Romans 12:17-21) Powerful words that can only be put into action by a faith able to move mountains, I pray for such faith… Thank you, Jesus, for showing us that you are the way, the truth, and the life; THE answer for those committed to seeking the truth in all things!
