Blessed from here to eternity...

Father, your creation declares your greatness and lovingkindness, encouraging statements of pure truth in our daily walk... No, we don't have any record of Matthew actually having said it, but in the series "The Chosen" he says concerning Jesus, "I have only one thing to do today, follow Him, and the rest takes care of itself." Isn't THAT the gospel truth! I suppose not many of the world's current 8.3 billion inhabitants would come to such a conclusion. In fact, the majority of those people are trapped by Satan, convinced that THEY are in control of their own destiny. What a mistake this is, for to think WE'RE in charge is to write our own ticket to destruction forevermore. Jesus' good friend and apostle Peter said, "For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and his ears are open to their prayer. But the face of the Lord is against those who do evil" (1 Peter 3:12) When we do our OWN thing, we are to be accounted amongst those whom you have rejected, those who've chosen the path of evil in this life. But for those in Christ, those who've chosen a better way, the way leading to life; THESE are the ones blessed from here to eternity… Thank you, Jesus, for showing us that you are the way, the truth, and the life; THE answer for those committed to seeking the truth in all things!
