Admitting we're wrong...

Father, your creation declares your greatness and lovingkindness, encouraging statements of pure truth in our daily walk... For me, the "harsh truth" is always better than "kind falsehood" every moment of every day. But not wanting to offend, the majority seem to prefer a watered down version of bad news, thinking somehow, someway this will lighten the blow, but what ever happened to stepping up and taking the punishment we so richly deserve? I for one am committed to admitting I've done so much wrong that I've lost track; in fact, I've sinned so much that I'm pressed to even remember the sins I've committed today let alone yesterday. But thanks be to Jesus, THIS is the walk of a Christian man and a Christian woman; to know we've done wrong, yet to know we've been completely forgiven. How beautiful is that? Should we ever give in to sin? Absolutely not! In fact, to avoid sin via Satan's evil influence MUST be our number one priority in this life! The writer of Hebrews laid it on the line when it was written, "For if we go on sinning deliberately after receiving the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, but a fearful expectation of judgment, and a fury of fire that will consume the adversaries." (Hebrews 10:26-27) A fearful expectation of judgment, now THAT's something worth knowing the whole truth and nothing but the truth, NEVER to be watered down… Thank you, Jesus, for showing us that you are the way, the truth, and the life; THE answer for those committed to seeking the truth in all things!
