A bowl full of cherries...

Father, your creation declares your greatness and lovingkindness, encouraging statements of pure truth in our daily walk... When things go well, life is grand; a bowl full of cherries when we're on top of the world. But then again, our fragile existence can easily begin to unravel, and if we're not careful, we'll find ourselves cursing the very ones who enabled us to pursue a life of peace and happiness in the first place. There are no promises that we'll have good health, plenty of wealth, and unending happiness in this life; in fact, just the opposite is true. There are absolutely no promises of physical well-being in this life, but on the spiritual side of the ledger those in Christ have promises everlasting; "Those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit set their minds on the things of the Spirit. For to set the mind on the flesh is death, but to set the mind on the Spirit is life and peace." (Romans 8:5-6) A bowl full of cherries forevermore in Christ Jesus, now that's a life worth living… Thank you, Jesus, for showing us that you are the way, the truth, and the life; THE answer for those committed to seeking the truth in all things!
