Words of life and death...

Father, your creation declares your greatness and lovingkindness, encouraging statements of pure truth in our daily walk... For those willing to open their eyes, the scriptures contain words of life and words of death. The Bible is a beautifully written text, but if we're just interested in the literary aspects of those words then we have dramatically underestimated their power. For John wrote, "Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life; whoever does not obey the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God remains on him." (‭‭John‬ ‭3‬:‭36‬) Truly words of life and death, words not to be minimized as they pertain to our personal position in the scheme of eternity. So is Satan really THAT powerful such that he can deceive us into believing that we can always put off our decision to be baptized in the name of Jesus, always to a more "convenient" time? It's not HIS life; it's OUR life that's at stake here. Either we choose to follow Jesus, or we risk everything just because we don't choose to acknowledge a better way, the way leading to life… Thank you, Jesus, for showing us that you are the way, the truth, and the life; THE answer for those committed to seeking the truth in all things!
