We serve the Lord Christ...

Father, your creation declares your greatness and lovingkindness, encouraging statements of pure truth in our daily walk... We're always trying to figure out why some people are destined to be driven while others just seem to be drifting through life. For the driven, it's easy to fall into a judgmental state of others, to question why others won't just get up and do what needs to be done. But at the end of the day, there's only one person we can control and that's the man in the mirror. Am I willing to do what it takes to do what needs to be done? And if not, why not? One thing I have discovered, when I'm "doing" I don't have time to focus on what others are not doing, and that's a good thing. It's a matter of the heart and a matter of focusing on why we do what we do, for "Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ." (Colossians 3:23-24) Knowing we're serving Christ in this life enables us to rise above anything and everything that attempts to bring us down, including apathy… Thank you, Jesus, for showing us that you are the way, the truth, and the life; THE answer for those committed to seeking the truth in all things!
