The next 5 minutes...

Father, your creation declares your greatness and lovingkindness, encouraging statements of pure truth in our daily walk... It's really easy to become overwhelmed in life, to feel as if we'll never reach the finish line of our next greatest endeavor. The obstacles have a way of discouraging us from seeking the ultimate victory; it's just more than we can visualize in the moment. That's probably why I love the Navy Seal training technique that teaches participants to not focus on the finish line, which seems completely out of reach, beyond their ability to achieve, but rather, to focus on the next 5 minutes. Achieving the short-term objectives over and over again and before we know it, the finish line comes into perfect focus! In Christ, we have been called to achieve the smallest of things with the greatest of meanings; "Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up." (Galatians 6:9)… Thank you, Jesus, for showing us that you are the way, the truth, and the life; THE answer for those committed to seeking the truth in all things!
