Message to the world...

Father, your creation declares your greatness and lovingkindness, encouraging statements of pure truth in our daily walk... Message to the world, "Let every person be quick to hear, slow to speak, slow to anger..." (James 1:19) Can we imagine such a world where everyone put this teaching into practice? We want to imagine, but quickly we're brought back to the reality that this world thrives on selfish ambition, driven by not wanting to hear anything that contradicts our view on the topic at hand, and oh, by the way, if you try to press your opinion onto me, I will show you just how wrathful I can become. Ugh, this is our reality, and it ain't pretty. To be Christ-centered my ambition needs to remove the focus from self and move it to the interests of others; just as Jesus chose to serve rather than demanding to be served, may I go and to likewise; "Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others." (Philippians 2:3-4) …Thank you, Jesus, for showing us that you are the way, the truth, and the life; THE answer for those committed to seeking the truth in all things!
